The Challenge

As Hekman expanded across retail channels, product listings lacked a unified narrative. Messaging varied by SKU and platform, making it difficult to communicate craftsmanship, materials, and heritage in a consistent, premium way.

The objective was to define a clear voice and messaging system that could scale across listings while remaining compliant with channel constraints.

Discovery and strategy

I worked directly with stakeholders (including an in-house furniture designer) to understand craftsmanship standards, material quality cues, heritage positioning, and how to express tradition without sounding dated. From that input, I built a messaging system that stayed consistent from the brand level down to the SKU level.

  • Applied the system to PDP titles, bullets, and descriptions across retail channels

This created alignment from brand narrative down to SKU-level copy.
